About us
Stewart Septic Tank Pumping Service began in 2006 by Jordan Stewart from Summerside. Training with the previous owner (Kelvin Birch) and learning "The tricks of the trade", Jordan began operating the business in the spring of 2006. The previous owner's Chevy 1-ton was used by us for two years before being retired. A larger capacity truck was put into service in 2008, and able to handle the workload in a more efficient manner. The International 1600LP carried an 800 gallon tank.
In 2010 all septic tank waste began being hauled to the waste treatment (pollution control) facility in Summerside, as it became an environmental requirement. All land spreading was then banned and deemed illegal on PEI.
Jordan's wife Carla, began working in our septic office in 2014 taking bookings, (By telephone, facebook, and our online platform), as well as record keeping, accounts, pricing quotes, and service reminders. She now handles all the calls and messages coming in, thus giving Jordan the time to focus on the septic work at hand.
In 2017 our son Caleb was born, and is the typical truck and tractor enthusiast! He shows a strong interest in our family business!
2021 brought another vacuum truck to our fleet, an International 4900 with a 2000 gallon tank. This truck is our main service truck. We also use a service truck for installing septic tank riser covers, and getting parts.
When not behind the wheel of one of the pumper trucks, Jordan can be found behind the wheel of a school bus, as he does the local school bus route in Wilmot Valley. He enjoys quality time with his family, vegetable gardening, and fishing rainbow trout off the banks of the Wilmot River.
